staring at my reflection only six inches away the longer I look the more it seems I am always out of reach

send me your picture   the one where you were smiling  in the piazza   I need to remember-  that you were once human

rugged solid crags draped in the fleeting March sun the wealth of life within the reach of each man the man that dares to dream

re-emerging old war time slogans but is keep calm and carry on nostalgia or a prediction

inside the closed heart lies a secret to discover your love holds the key

melting snow teaching me  that all things change
